I generally give land to members of my dynasty. Never give titles to anyone in your family, maybe only your oldest son and heir so that he can get prestige but it's best to have your dynasty. So my question is, is there really benefits to giving land to you is not easy to do, and certainly not for the bumbling AI in CKII. The best vassals have, in descending order of priority, your culture and religion (easy in Ireland), do not have the Ambitious or Envious traits.
